Universal Composing Techniques
Music Composition 2B is an Advanced level course in Music composing. This course teaches the students, the procedure and methods of expanding a motif into a Phrase, Period and Musical Sentence. And also the Students are taught to transform the Musical Sentence into a Binary form, Ternary form, Rondo Form and Sonata form Composition. At the end of the course, the students will gain a thorough knowledge of the theory and principles of composing a piece in Binary, Ternary, Rondo, and Sonata forms.

The Harmonic Phrase.
The Harmonic Period.
Chromatic Chord Substitution.
Modulation.
Harmonic Rhythm.
Musical Texture.
Binary Form.

Rondo and Arch Forms.
Strophic and Variation Forms.

Requirements
Prerequisites
Age 16+
The student must have completed Music Theory 1, 2 and 3 courses or must have completed Grade 8 theory exam conducted by Trinity College of Music, London or ABRSM. The Student should be good in Western Music Notation reading and writing and also should have completed Music Composition 1 Course.
Software and Hardware Requirements
Any sequencing software (Cubase or LogicPro).
The students should be able to sequence music using MIDI keyboard.
The Students should also know how to use VST Plug-ins.
The Students should buy the Kontakt Library, Hollywood Strings, Hollywood Woodwinds, Hollywood Brass, Trillian, Omnisphere, Piano, Electric Piano, Groove Agent. Battery and Guitar VST Plug-ins.
PC or Mac system.
Good Soundcard.

Weekly two classes and each class is one hour.
