STEPHEN'S COLLEGE OF FILM MUSIC


This course is for the students who wish to become a complete Musician, Music Composer, Recording Engineer and Music Producer. This course systematically transforms a simple and illiterate musician into a complete and literate musician.

  • Music Theory 2.
  • Music Theory 3.
  • Music Composition 1.
  • Music Composition 2A or 2B.
  • Music Arranging 1.
  • Music Arranging 2.
  • Studio Basics.
  • Microphone Technique.
  • Recording Music in Protools.
  • Creating Drum Loops.
  • Analyzing different song structures.
  • Stereo Mixing.
  • Mastering.
  • Final Project.

  • Requirements

    Prerequisites

  • Age 16+
  • The student must have completed 10th standard or SSLC board exam.
  • The student must have proficiency in English language reading and writing.
  • Software and Hardware Requirements

  • Any sequencing software (Cubase or LogicPro).
  • The students should be able to sequence music using MIDI keyboard.
  • The Students should also know how to use VST Plug-ins.
  • The Students should buy the Kontakt Library, Hollywood Strings, Hollywood Woodwinds, Hollywood Brass, Trillian, Omnisphere, Piano, Electric Piano, and Groove Agent. Battery and Guitar VST Plug-ins.
  • PC or Mac system.
  • Protools, Nuendo, Cubase, LogicPro or any Recording Software.
  • Good Soundcard.
  • MIDI Keyboard.
  • Required Textbooks

  • Berklee Music Theory 1 and 2 by Paul Schmeling, Berklee Press.
  • A Handbook of Musical Knowledge by James Murray Brown.
  • The Study of Orchestration by Samuel Adler.
  • First Year Harmony by William Lovelock.
  • Tonal Harmony by Stefan Kostka and Dorothy Payne.
